My daughter…she really is the love of my life. She reminds me to be great. She reminds me to be myself-she reminds me who I am.

She never says, “Be yourself”.   I learn it by watching her, be herself. And then, I remember…

I’ve been setting my computer out on the table for her to view when she comes home from school with notes like, “Friday’s Video-put the ear buds in,” or, “Thursday’s video-plug it into the Bose speaker”.

I’ve shared the music I love-the music of my youth, of my heartache, of my silliness and my growth.

They are someone else’s words, someone else’s notes and somehow, have made their way into my life, and now into hers.
